I’m looking for a high-level automation engineer to help build advanced AI-driven operational systems for ecommerce businesses. This is not a typical freelance job. I’m looking for someone who wants to build something long-term and help scale a new company. We build systems that automate operations and give ecommerce founders full visibility into their business. These systems typically include: • customer support automation • operational dashboards • automated reporting pipelines • ecommerce integrations • AI-driven workflows. You would be one of the core technical builders helping architect and implement these systems. ⸻ About me My name is Tijn, I’m 21 years old from the Netherlands. Over the last 1.5 years I’ve been building ecommerce businesses and have generated €600k+ in revenue through ecommerce and dropshipping. That experience exposed me to a lot of operational problems inside ecommerce businesses. Now I’m building a company called Thechapterone to solve these problems using AI and automation. The goal is to: 1. build operational AI systems for ecommerce companies 2. identify repeatable problems 3. eventually spin those solutions into SaaS products. So this is not just project work — the long-term goal is building real products together. ⸻ Tech Stack Our systems currently use: • Monday.com • n8n (self-hosted) • Shopify APIs • custom API integrations • AI integrations (LLM workflows) Future systems may also involve: • data pipelines • advanced reporting dashboards • automation infrastructure. ⸻ What you will do Your role will include: • building automation systems using APIs and workflow tools • designing scalable automation architecture • integrating ecommerce tools and data sources • helping improve and optimize automation pipelines • communicating with clients when needed • proactively suggesting better technical solutions. You will work closely with me to translate business problems into automation systems. ⸻ What I’m looking for The ideal person: • strong experience with APIs and automation systems • experienced with tools like n8n / Make / Zapier • comfortable integrating ecommerce platforms • strong problem-solver • proactive communicator • able to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients. I prefer someone who is senior level rather than junior. I would rather work with someone slightly more expensive who can think independently and build high-quality systems. ⸻ Compensation Initially this will be performance / project based, not hourly. Typical structure: 1. I close a client project 2. we define the system architecture 3. we agree on the project scope 4. you receive a percentage of the project value Example project size: €4k – €6k automation builds.
