Python Automation Developer (Web Automation / AI Integration) I recently founded a New York City–based software development company focused on building automation systems that interact with modern web platforms. I’m looking for a skilled Python automation developer to help build tools that automate complex browser workflows and integrate AI tools into those systems. The systems being developed involve timing-sensitive browser automation and real-time interaction with live web platforms, so experience building fast and reliable automation workflows is important. Since the company is still in its early stages, the developer who joins will have the opportunity to play an important role in building the company’s core technology and infrastructure. As the company grows, there may also be opportunities to take on more senior responsibilities and help lead additional developers over time. Responsibilities • Develop Python scripts that automate web-based workflows • Build and maintain browser automation systems (Selenium, Playwright, or similar) • Automate multi-step website interactions and form processes • Integrate AI tools such as Claude or other LLM APIs into automation pipelines • Improve speed, reliability, and error handling of automation systems • Write clean, modular, and well-documented code Required Skills • Strong Python experience • Browser automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Puppeteer, etc.) • Experience with web automation or scraping • API integrations • Ability to troubleshoot dynamic websites Preferred Experience Experience building automation systems that interact with retail or marketplace websites is a strong plus. Developers who have worked on fast, reliable automation systems operating on real web platforms will be especially well suited. Compensation Starting compensation: $375 – $750 per month, depending on experience and availability. This role will begin as a monthly contract, with the possibility of increased responsibility and compensation if the collaboration develops into a longer-term working relationship.
