Project Description I run an HVAC service company and I want to build a digital inspection scoring and reporting tool for furnace maintenance visits. Technicians will complete an inspection checklist and the system will generate a professional customer report showing system health scores. The tool must include editable scoring logic, circular health indicators, and a report generator. This is essentially a small web application for inspection scoring and reporting. Main Features The system must include the following: 1. Inspection Form A mobile-friendly form where technicians can enter inspection results such as: temperature rise blower motor amp draw flame sensor reading gas pressure capacitor readings airflow observations electrical condition safety control checks The checklist itself must be editable by the administrator, because I will modify inspection items over time. 2. Circular Health Indicators At the top of the report there must be two circular percentage indicators (radial gauges): • Operating Condition Score • Remaining Life Expectancy Score Each indicator must display a percentage and change color automatically. Example: Operating Condition → 88% Remaining Life → 34% 3. Color Logic (Editable) Operating Condition: Green: 85–100% Yellow: 70–84% Red: below 70% Remaining Life: Green: 70–100% Yellow: 35–69% Red: below 35% These thresholds must be editable in the admin settings. 4. Lifecycle / Remaining Life Calculation The Remaining Life score must consider: equipment age expected service life (editable) inspection findings penalties optional warranty modifier Example logic: Remaining Life = Base Life by Age – Penalties from Inspection Findings + Warranty Modifier All rules must be editable. 5. Admin Settings The system must include a settings section where I can edit: checklist items scoring weights percentage thresholds color logic expected equipment life values warranty adjustments report wording company branding No scoring logic should be hard-coded. 6. Branding The report must allow adding company branding including: company logo company name phone number website footer text Branding must appear at the top of the report. 7. Customer Report Output The system should generate a professional report including: company logo and branding operating condition circle indicator remaining life circle indicator inspection findings technician notes optional photos recommendation section The report must be exportable as PDF. Mobile Friendly Requirement Technicians will complete inspections in basements and mechanical rooms. The inspection interface must be mobile-friendly and easy to complete on a phone. Technology No-code or low-code solutions are acceptable.
