We are a scientific and medical writing agency working with companies in biotech, healthcare, and life sciences. We are looking for a proactive sales professional to help generate new business and sales through various avenues, such as freelancer platforms, LinkedIn outreach, and reengaging past clients. This role focuses on thoughtful, targeted outreach and relationship building, not high-volume spam or automated messaging/proposals. Responsibilities: 1. Freelancer Platform Sales: Monitor Upwork and similar platforms daily for relevant job adverts. Prepare high-quality, tailored proposals. Identify strong opportunities aligned with our services 2. LinkedIn Outreach and nurturing Conduct warm, thoughtful outreach to prospects. Build relationships rather than sending cold sales pitches. Use creative messaging that feels natural and engaging. We will provide a list of ideal prospects on LinkedIn, knowledge of using linkedin/ sales navigator is important. 3. Client Re-Engagement: Reconnect with existing or dormant clients. Restart conversations through value-led insights or advice. Position the agency as a trusted partner rather than a salesperson. 4. Sales Pipeline tracking: Track opportunities and nurture leads through the buying process. Have a system for tracking and reengaging existing contacts/prospects. Contribute ideas for improving outreach and generating new leads Ideal Candidate: - Experience with Upwork or freelance platform sales and how to write proposals that actually convert - Knows how to nurture leads professionally - Strong written English and persuasive communication - Comfortable with authentic LinkedIn outreach and relationship building, able to write creative, engaging outreach messages - Willing to learn about our services, team, industry and target audiences in order to be able to drive real conversations - no surface-level spammy content.
