SharePoint Developer (Full Time/Contractor) Ictect – the Intelligent Content Company - is seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Developer to help enhance and extend the development of our patented Intelligent Content Management System (ICMS). Responsibilities: Develop ICMS functionality that processes and manages S1000D-tagged Word documents, enabling intelligent content extraction, transformation, and publishing workflows. Integrate and extend APIs to extract and manipulate XML-tagged data within Word documents using Open XML SDK and related technologies. Utilize Power Automate to design automated workflows that interact with tagged content, documents, and SharePoint libraries. Develop intuitive user interfaces integrated with SharePoint using JavaScript, jQuery, XSLT, and CSS. Make logical, standards-compliant design decisions regarding customization versus out-of-the-box SharePoint capabilities. Work closely with internal teams to understand business and technical requirements and align development with workflow expectations. Provide regular project updates, documentation, and technical support as needed. Create and maintain technical and user documentation for developed solutions. Desired Skills: Proven experience in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint 2016/2019, and JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, C#, CSOM, XML, and REST APIs. Experience working with tagged Word documents (XML, S1000D, DITA, or similar standards). Strong understanding of Open XML and Microsoft Graph / REST APIs for content automation. Experience developing and deploying Power Automate (Flow) solutions integrated with SharePoint and Office 365. Experience in Azure administration and Active Directory management is preferred. Familiarity with Agile SDLC methodologies. Experience integrating Microsoft technologies such as Office, SharePoint, and Dynamics CRM. Experience working with PowerShell and the SharePoint Framework (SPFx). Possesses excellent presentation and documentation skills, demonstrates effective communication with a professional demeanour, and exhibits the ability to think critically and devise quick solutions. Good to Have: Design and develop Word Online Add-ins with capabilities to process, validate, and manage structured (S1000D) content within DOCX files. Develop SharePoint / Office 365 Add-ins using JavaScript, jQuery, REST API, C#, and Open XML to support intelligent document management and collaboration.
