We are looking for an experienced eBay strategy expert to help optimize and structure our growing eBay operation. This is not a basic listing job. We are looking for someone who understands how to structure an eBay store for maximum visibility, conversions, and profitability. Our store focuses primarily on industrial, commercial, and surplus equipment and parts, including categories such as: • Hydraulic fittings and hydraulic components • Industrial electrical equipment (disconnects, breakers, motors, controls) • Telecom and fiber optic equipment • Sheet metal and fabrication-related components • Industrial surplus inventory and MRO parts • Commercial hardware and mechanical components Many of our items are technical products that may not have barcodes, so proper listing structure, keyword strategy, and product research are critical. We are rapidly scaling inventory and need help designing the right systems and strategies from the beginning. This will initially be a consulting engagement where you help us design the strategy and framework. If the relationship works well, there may be opportunities for additional advisory work in the future. Areas we need guidance on: • eBay store structure and category setup • Listing strategy (single listings vs variations vs multi-quantity listings) • Title and keyword optimization for technical products • Pricing strategy based on sold data and market demand • Advertising strategy (Promoted Listings Standard vs Advanced) • Marketing campaigns and visibility optimization • Shipping strategy and policies, including: Free shipping thresholds Buyer-paid shipping under certain price points Faster shipping upgrade options Structuring shipping costs to maximize conversion and margin • Best practices for large industrial catalog stores • Automation tools and workflow recommendations • General marketplace growth strategy What we are looking for: • Proven experience managing or consulting on large eBay stores • Experience selling industrial, commercial, or technical products on eBay • Strong understanding of eBay SEO and algorithm behavior • Experience with Promoted Listings and advertising optimization • Ability to analyze listings and recommend structural improvements • Someone who understands profitability, not just listing volume Engagement Structure This will likely start as a consulting session or a few working sessions where we review our store, discuss strategy, and develop a clear framework we can implement internally. We are looking for someone who can provide high-level strategic insight and actionable recommendations.
