Job Title: AWS / Shopify Developer: Feed Script Upgrade (SFTP, Price Balancer & Data Enrichment) Project Overview: We are looking for an experienced developer to upgrade and enhance our existing product feed script. The script manages our inventory data and syncs it to our Shopify store, and is currently hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We need to secure the data transfer, build a dynamic competitor pricing tool, and deeply enrich our product catalog—specifically for high-end camera and lens equipment. Key Responsibilities: Security Upgrade: Modify the existing script to transition the data transfer protocol from FTP to secure SFTP. Competitor Price Balancer: Develop and integrate a dynamic pricing algorithm that monitors specific competitors and automatically adjusts our Shopify prices based on predefined rules (e.g., matching lowest price or maintaining margins). Data Enrichment: Enhance the script to parse and populate the following critical product data points into Shopify: GTIN, Product Weight, and Product Condition. Country of Origin and HS Codes for all items (crucial for our international shipping and compliance). Camera Gear Specifics: Implement logic to identify and extract the specific Mount Type for all camera and lens products, mapping this data cleanly to Shopify tags or metafields. AWS Management: Ensure the updated script runs reliably, efficiently, and securely within our existing AWS infrastructure (e.g., EC2, Lambda). Required Skills & Experience: Strong proficiency in backend scripting (Python, Node.js, or similar) and working with APIs. Extensive experience with the Shopify Admin API (Products, Metafields, Inventory). Hands-on experience deploying, scheduling, and maintaining scripts on AWS. Previous experience building web scrapers, utilizing pricing APIs, or developing dynamic pricing algorithms. A strong understanding of e-commerce data structures, especially regarding logistics (HS Codes, GTINs).
