Job Title: Core Alpha Engineer – Prediction Market Trading
About Us:
We are building a next-generation prediction market trading desk, focused on high-alpha strategies in crypto and regulated prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi. Our approach prioritizes early entry, high ROI, and operational simplicity compared to traditional HFT crypto desks. We are backed by experienced founders and are looking for a highly capable engineer and quantitative strategist to lead the build-out and deployment of our trading systems.
Role Overview:
As our Core Alpha Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and running automated trading strategies across multiple prediction market platforms. You will lead the technical architecture, strategy implementation, and risk management systems, ensuring robust, high-performance, and scalable execution.
This is not just a development role – it is a hybrid of engineering, quant research, and alpha generation. You will be the primary driver of our prediction market alpha, working closely with leadership to shape strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and optimize automated prediction market strategies, including but not limited to:
In-Market / Structural / Mispricing Arbitrage
Spread Capture / Market Making
Oracle / Latency Arbitrage
Cross-Market / Probability Arbitrage
Conditional / Event-Tree Arbitrage
Resolution Timing and Time-Decay strategies
Liquidity Vacuum Exploitation
Deploy, monitor, and manage strategies on Polymarket and Kalshi, with future expansion to other prediction market platforms.
Build and maintain robust execution infrastructure, including order placement, risk management, and real-time monitoring systems.
Ensure delta-neutral and risk-controlled deployment, with automated stop-losses, hedging, and capacity-aware position sizing.
Collaborate with leadership to define alpha roadmap, capital allocation, and portfolio management decisions.
Optimize systems for latency, reliability, and capital efficiency.
Maintain detailed logging, performance analytics, and reporting for live strategies.
Required Experience / Skills:
Strong quantitative and software engineering background, preferably with 5+ years of professional experience in:
Algorithmic trading / quantitative finance / prediction markets
Low-latency C++ or Python systems
Financial market data pipelines and execution systems
Experience with crypto or prediction market trading platforms, ideally Polymarket, Kalshi, or similar.
Familiarity with delta-neutral, arbitrage, or market-making strategies.
Knowledge of risk management and capital allocation in automated trading.
Strong software engineering skills:
C++ and Python (primary), optionally Rust or C#
Linux, Docker, AWS, or cloud infrastructure
Multithreading, event-driven architectures, and latency optimization
Experience building monitoring dashboards and alert systems (Grafana/KDB+/Prometheus/etc.)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
Previous hands-on experience with Polymarket/Kalshi bots or similar prediction market automation.
Background in high-frequency or medium-frequency trading.
Knowledge of probability theory, game theory, and statistical arbitrage.
Familiarity with blockchain systems, smart contracts, or on-chain trading.
