I am looking for an experienced developer and AI automation expert to help me finalize the setup of my OpenClaw instance and teach me how to use it effectively. I have started the installation process but need a knowledgeable consultant to help me get it fully operational, secure, and integrated into my daily workflows. What Needs to be Done (Setup & Audit) Audit Current Environment: Review my current OpenClaw configuration (Node.js/Docker, LLM API connections like Anthropic/OpenAI) and resolve any roadblocks. Chat Integration: Successfully connect the OpenClaw gateway to my preferred messaging app (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram, or Discord) so I can interact with it on the go. Security & Hardening: Implement critical security best practices. Because OpenClaw has deep access to the local file system, I need help securing the gateway (e.g., setting up SSH tunneling/localhost binding, securely managing API keys, and restricting the agent's "blast radius"). Tool & Skill Configuration: Help install and configure core AgentSkills from ClawHub (e.g., calendar management, web browsing, or local file access). What I Want to Learn (Training Objectives) System Architecture: A beginner-friendly walkthrough of how the OpenClaw gateway, agentic loop, and local LLM routing actually work. Defining the Agent: How to properly write and modify the SOUL.md file to shape the agent's personality, boundaries, and decision-making logic. Memory Management: How OpenClaw handles persistent memory via local Markdown files and how I can manage or clear its context. Proactive Automation: How to set up cron jobs, heartbeats, and background tasks so the agent can act autonomously. Ideal Candidate Qualifications Hands-on, verifiable experience deploying, tweaking, and maintaining OpenClaw (experience from its early Clawdbot/Moltbot days is a huge plus). Strong understanding of Node.js, local AI agents, and cybersecurity best practices for autonomous systems. Excellent communication skills—you must be patient, fluent in English, and comfortable screen-sharing over Zoom/Google Meet to teach technical concepts to a learner.
