Project: Stylized\Cartoony Action RPG Soulslike (Open World) Engine: Unreal Engine 5 World Size: ~3.75 km² Estimated Assets: ~700–750 environment assets Refernce for art style : Mario Oddyssey, Astro bot, Donkey Kong Bananza We are looking for a senior environment artist with strong level design and lighting skills to build and shape the world of our stylized open-world Soulslike game. This role combines environment modeling, world building, texturing, and lighting inside Unreal Engine 5. This is a senior role responsible for creating a cohesive and visually strong game world. Responsibilities • Create high-quality 3D environment assets • Art direction is your responsiblity. • Design and build levels inside Unreal Engine 5 • Plan which assets are needed for each area and submit them for director approval • Create 2K textures and materials for environment assets and characters when required • Design and implement highj quaity lighting using latest UE tech for each level and environment • Ensure strong visual atmosphere and mood through lighting and composition • Maintain consistent stylized art direction across the world • Optimize assets for performance in an open-world environment • Work closely with the 2D concept artist to maintain visual consistency • Coordinate with a support 3D modeler who will assist with ~20–30% of the modeling workload Production Scope World Size: 3.75 km² Estimated Environment Assets: 700–750 Asset types include: • Buildings • Ruins • Terrain structures • Rocks / cliffs • Vegetation • Props • Landmarks • and more Requirements • Strong environment modeling skills • Strong level design understanding • Experience building worlds in Unreal Engine 5 • Strong lighting and atmosphere creation • Experience creating 2K textures and materials • Ability to maintain consistent stylized art direction Team Structure You will collaborate with: • Game Director • 3D Modeler (assisting with ~20–30% of assets) • 2D Concept Artist The environment artist / level designer will share responsibility for the final visual direction of the world.
