I’m a non-technical buyer, so the goal is not a deep code audit, but a clear risk assessment of the system before acquisition. What you’ll review You will be given read-only access to the core systems, including: - GitHub repository - Hosting / deployment setup - Database - Stripe (read-only) - Key third-party integrations (OpenAI, Twilio, etc.) - A short walkthrough from the founder explaining the architecture What I need from you Please assess and summarize: Architecture & stability - High-level system architecture - Any obvious single points of failure - Whether the system appears stable and maintainable Dependency risks - Critical API dependencies - Potential cost explosions (usage-based services) - Vendor lock-in issues Transferability - Whether all infrastructure appears transferable - Any dependencies tied to the founder personally Maintainability - Whether another competent engineer could reasonably operate and improve the system Key risks - Top 3 technical risks - Anything that would be a red flag for an acquisition Deliverable A concise written summary (2–3 pages max) including: - Overall risk rating (Green / Yellow / Red) - Key findings - Top technical risks - Recommended next steps This should be clear and understandable for a non-technical buyer. No long reports or line-by-line code reviews required. Ideal background - Senior full-stack engineer (7+ years experience preferred) - Experience with production SaaS systems Familiar with: - Stripe - APIs / integrations - Cloud deployments - Modern web stacks Prior experience with technical due diligence or startup advisory is a strong plus
