We are hiring a Business Development Manager whose primary responsibility is to convert hiring opportunities into high-quality job orders. This is a sales-first role focused on discovery, qualification, and relationship management — not candidate sourcing. You will work with opportunities already identified by our system, speak directly with hiring managers, and open jobs that our recruiting team can successfully fill. ________________________________________ What You’ll Be Responsible For Core Responsibilities • Conduct discovery calls with hiring managers and decision-makers • Qualify hiring needs, urgency, and expectations • Push back on low-quality, unclear, or unrealistic job requests • Convert opportunities into approved job orders • Manage client relationships after intake (account management) • Use LinkedIn to research companies, roles, and decision-makers • Maintain clear notes and accurate data in Bullhorn • Follow defined intake criteria and sales process (no guesswork) ________________________________________ What We’re Looking For Required • Strong B2B sales experience (staffing/recruiting is a plus, not required) • Comfortable leading discovery calls and controlling conversations • Ability to qualify out bad opportunities (not everything is a “yes”) • Clear, confident spoken English • Strong written English for CRM notes and follow-ups • Experience using LinkedIn for B2B sales (research, outreach, follow-up) • Organized, process-driven, and coachable Nice to Have • Experience selling professional or consulting services • Staffing or recruiting industry exposure • Basic understanding of engineering or technical disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, controls, automation) • Experience with Bullhorn or another CRM/ATS You do not need an engineering background — just enough fluency to speak credibly with hiring managers.
