I am looking to revise an automated waiting list system. Currently I have a system that uses zapier, appointment changes trigger automated text (via Twilio) and email notifications. I am looking for a more cost effective simplified solution. I have a google form which populates to a sheet collecting relevant data. Acuity scheduling has a zapier integration, can be set up to post web hook. I would like to create a google apps script that can do the following: When an appointment is canceled/ rescheduled, look for matches on waitlist time/date selection. Logic should be included so that anytime, morning, and afternoon will send relevant notifications. Exact time should exactly match. Notifications should go out via text or email as desired as long as the following 3 criteria are met: 1. Notifications should be sent only between 8AM-6PM EST. Triggers outside this time frame should be queued and sent later. 2. Only send for events at least 2 hours in the future. 3. If time is marked “unavailable” in google calendar, do not send notification Text and email scripts finish "reply cancel to unsubscribe", this should also be addressed in script. When an appointment is scheduled, entries should be removed from the list that match name, phone, service type and date. Entries that do not meet all 4 requirements (ie outside of date range) should remain on list. I have created a basic script that will run from what I can see, however it won't send the expected notifications. I'm looking to hire someone to help me get this in working order.
