Project background: I am a pediatric occupational therapist developing a conversational AI assistant designed for parents & children. The concept, structure, and intended experience are grounded in my clinical background and focus on creating safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate interactions. I have developed the core idea, conversation structure, prompts, and intended user experience. I have also built an initial website using Wix and created a prototype using Voiceflow to begin designing the conversation flow, tone, and behavior of the assistant. My strength is in the concept development, user experience, and conversational design. However, I do not have a technical development background, and I am looking for someone who can take the lead on the technical implementation and help translate my existing prototype and vision into a functional, reliable MVP. I initially used Wix and Voiceflow because they were the most accessible tools for me to get started without a technical background. However, I am open to using other platforms or technologies if there are better solutions for building a stable, scalable system. This project is still in the very early stages, and I am looking for someone who is confident in helping bring it to life and guiding the technical direction. Specifically, I need help with: • Implementing safety features and guardrails appropriate for child users • Integrating the assistant into my website in a reliable and scalable way • Creating user profile functionality, including separate parent and child profiles • Implementing authentication, usage tracking, and usage limits • Ensuring overall performance, reliability, and scalability I also plan to develop multiple assistants using a similar framework but focused on different topics, so it is important that the technical foundation is built in a way that supports future expansion. Because I do not come from a technical background, I would greatly appreciate if you could briefly explain your proposed approach in clear, simple terms and how you would help implement these features. I would also love to hear about any similar conversational AI, chatbot, or AI assistant projects you have worked on, including your role and how they were structured. This will start as an MVP project, with strong potential for ongoing collaboration if it is a good fit. Bonus qualifications: Experience building AI systems for educational use, learning environments, or child-focused applications is strongly preferred. An interest in creating safe, thoughtful, and developmentally appropriate AI experiences is a major plus.
