I am seeking an experienced conversational AI engineer to assist with improving and production-preparing an existing basic AI assistant integrated into a web environment. The assistant currently uses an LLM-based conversational architecture and requires improvements in reliability, access control, and usage limitation for controlled testing. This role involves both conversational design and backend integration. Bonus qualifications: Experience building AI systems for educational use, learning environments, or child-focused applications is strongly preferred. An interest in creating safe, thoughtful, and developmentally appropriate AI experiences is a major plus. Core technical requirements: • Improve conversational stability and prompt architecture • Implement user authentication and access controls • Implement usage tracking and usage limits (time, sessions, or token-based) • Ensure stable integration between conversational system and web frontend • Assist with structuring system for scalability Required qualifications: • Direct experience building LLM-powered conversational systems • Experience with OpenAI API, Anthropic, or similar platforms • Experience implementing authentication and user-level access controls • Experience integrating conversational systems into web applications • Strong understanding of prompt engineering and conversational state management Strongly preferred: • Experience with Voiceflow, LangChain, or similar orchestration tools • Experience with Supabase, Firebase, or similar backend systems • Experience building SaaS or production AI systems • Experience optimizing conversational reliability and guardrails
