You will build and maintain both the cloud backend (Firebase-based) and the firmware (running on Raspberry Pi with UART integration for Casambi communication). You will be responsible for feature development, database management, OTA updates, device provisioning, and system reliability. This is a long-term project with the opportunity to work on new features, integrations, and optimizations as the platform grows. Your role: • Architect the Firebase backend: • Cloud Functions for automation, OTA triggers, and device provisioning • Firebase Authentication with multi-role access (client, installer, admin) • Firebase Hosting for admin/client dashboards • Written in Node.js or Python running on Raspberry Pi • Local PostgreSQL database synchronization with Firebase • Secure OTA firmware update system using Firebase Storage • Real-time monitoring and alert logging • Implement structured logging, real-time status updates, and background diagnostics
