We are building an AI-powered inbound voice agent to handle customer calls intelligently — looking up order status, checking inventory, retrieving customer records, and creating or updating records in NetSuite in real time. The agent should speak naturally, understand customer intent, and take meaningful action inside our ERP without human intervention.
What You'll Build
• Configure and deploy an AI voice agent on Retell AI, Bland AI, or alternative platforms for inbound call handling
• Build a middleware integration layer connecting the voice platform to NetSuite via REST API / SuiteTalk
• Implement callable tools for: order status lookup, inventory availability check, customer record retrieval, quote/invoice generation, and record creation/updates
• Integrate ElevenLabs/Cartesia Sonic/Deepgram as the TTS voice layer within the agent platform
• Design conversation flows and fallback logic (escalation to human agent when needed)
• Set up telephony (inbound phone number routing) through the selected platform
• Deliver documentation and handoff notes for ongoing maintenance
Required Skills
• Hands-on experience with at least one of: Retell AI, Bland AI, or Vapi
• NetSuite REST API or SuiteTalk Web Services integration experience
• Strong Node.js or Python for middleware/API development
• Familiarity with LLM tool-calling / function-calling patterns
• Experience with ElevenLabs, Deepgram, or Cartesia Sonic
• Webhook design, JSON handling, and API authentication (OAuth, token-based)
Nice to Have
• Prior contact center or IVR automation experience
• SuiteScript knowledge for custom NetSuite logic
• Experience with Make, Zapier, or similar iPaaS as middleware alternatives
Timeline: Milestone-based — discovery, MVP build, testing, and handoff
