We need a marketing contractor to drive membership growth for our online community in the mindfulness and wellness space. The work includes email automation, Google Ads, campaigns to our existing email list, and monthly reporting. About 15 to 20 hours/month, ongoing.
About Us
We run a paid membership community in the mindfulness, meditation, and consciousness space. We offer live sessions multiple times a week, audio courses, and a deep library of recorded content. The community is built on Circle and uses a 30-day free trial model.
What We Need
Someone who can own the marketing execution side of our growth. You'll work from strategy briefs we provide and turn them into campaigns. This is a hands-on execution role, not a strategy consulting gig.
Immediate priorities (first 4 to 6 weeks):
- Set up a 10-email automated nurture sequence for free trial members (copy is written, needs to be built in MailChimp with Zapier integration to Circle)
- Build and send 1 to 2 targeted email campaigns to our existing MailChimp list (several thousand subscribers who know us but haven't joined the community)
- Set up and launch a Google Ads search campaign around our core topic keywords
- Set up basic tracking and reporting so we can see what's working
Ongoing (month 3+):
- Optimize email sequences based on open rates, click rates, and conversion data
- Run 1 to 2 email campaigns per month
- Manage and optimize Google Ads
- Help execute a Reddit engagement strategy (we have the plan)
- Post short-form video content on a schedule (we have edited clips ready to go)
- Monthly analytics report: what's working, what's not, what to try next
What You Should Have
- Solid experience with MailChimp (automation, customer journeys, audience segmentation, A/B testing)
- Social media management (YouTube, Reddit). Google Ads experience, specifically search campaigns and keyword research
- Comfort working with a membership or subscription business model
- Ability to work independently from a brief
- Good communication.
Bonus (not required):
- Experience with Circle platform
- Zapier experience
Budget & Hours
15 to 20 hours per month, ongoing. Rate depends on experience and location.
