The Role You will be responsible for: Designing the full ActiveCampaign architecture before implementation Structuring data and segmentation logic Leading the technical setup of the account Building scalable automation frameworks Establishing deliverability and compliance standards Documenting the system for long-term internal use Scope of Initial Engagement (8–10 Weeks) Brief outline of our current system that is inefficient and outdated: - BeePro for campaign creation - Sendy for segmentation - Amazon SES for delivery While functional, it lacks integration with our admin environment, structured automation, behavioural tracking, advanced segmentation (e.g. previous winners vs first-time entrants), and AI-driven optimisation. The process is also labour-intensive and limits strategic follow-up. The new ActiveManagement we look to implement from scratch: 1. Strategic Planning & Architecture Define CRM data structure Establish segmentation framework Design tag hierarchy and custom field logic Define lifecycle stages and engagement model 2. Platform Setup & Configuration ActiveCampaign account configuration Domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) Deliverability foundation Contact migration planning (80,000+ existing contacts) 3. Automation Framework Design Build scalable systems for: Annual award launch campaigns Deadline reminder sequences Regional and language-based campaigns Engagement scoring and re-engagement flows 4. Governance & Documentation Email list management, cleaning and optimising Tag and field glossary Written documentation of architecture Best practice guidelines for internal use Required Experience Minimum 5 years hands-on ActiveCampaign experience Experience implementing ActiveCampaign from zero Experience with databases of 80,000+ contacts Advanced understanding of: Automation architecture Deliverability management Engagement scoring Strong strategic and analytical mindset EU GDPR familiarity preferred We are seeking a systems architect, not only a campaign operator. Engagement Structure Initial 8–10 week contract with defined milestones. Fixed project fee preferred. Potential for long-term retainer following successful implementation.
