We’re a U.S.-based Managed IT & Cybersecurity provider serving small businesses (10–200 employees, sweet spot 10–80) across 18 markets.
We already have someone handling basic SEO tasks (on-page edits, GMB posts, audits).
We now need a senior-level SEO strategist to turn organic search into measurable pipeline and revenue.
This is not a “blog writer” or “meta tag optimizer” role.
This is a growth and authority role.
What We Actually Need
You will own strategy and execution across:
1. Revenue-Driven Keyword & Page Strategy
Build BOFU/MOFU/TOFU intent maps tied to services (Managed IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, etc.)
Map keywords → pages → CTAs → conversion paths
Identify high-intent local + service combinations
Perform competitor gap analysis by market
2. Location & Service Expansion
Architect city + service pages across 18 markets
Improve internal linking between locations and services
Develop expansion roadmap (what to build next, and why)
Optimize for map pack and local dominance
3. Topical Authority & Content Clusters
Design pillar + cluster structures (IT roadmap, downtime cost, ransomware prep, compliance, etc.)
Define content briefs with clear search intent
Implement structured schema (FAQ, Service, LocalBusiness, HowTo)
Build entity strength and brand relevance
4. Conversion Optimization (CRO)
Improve CTAs, landing page structure, and forms
Analyze user behavior (heatmaps, session flow)
Recommend conversion-focused landing pages
Align content with decision-stage buyers
5. Backlink & Authority Strategy
Design a sustainable backlink plan
Identify PR opportunities and data-led campaigns
Suggest guest posting and authority partnerships
Strengthen local citations strategically
6. AI / LLM Search Optimization
Structure content for AI search visibility
Improve entity clarity
Strengthen brand signals across web properties
Optimize structured data for AI indexing
7. Measurement & Reporting
Tie rankings to leads and pipeline
Create keyword → page → lead tracking model
Provide market-level reporting
Show business impact, not vanity metrics
What This Is NOT

Required Experience
Proven success in local + B2B SEO
Experience with multi-location service businesses
Strong understanding of search intent mapping
Experience improving lead generation from SEO
Understanding of structured data & entity SEO
Ability to think commercially (revenue-first mindset)
