Remote, United States <ul class="simple"> <li>Build and maintain web applications using Python and the Django framework</li> <li>Design and implement backend logic, database models, and user profile systems for community and contributor focused functionality</li> <li>Implement mailing list and newsletter systems that help users stay connected with community activity</li> <li>Collaborate with an external partners</li> <li>Build systems that recognise contributors through profile features, participation tracking, through GitHub and other 3rd party APIs</li> <li>Ensure all code is maintainable, secure, and aligned with best Django practice</li> </ul> <ul class="simple"> <li>US Resident, with full right to work status</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Python</li> <li>A minimum of 5 years experience with Django including ORM, models, views, and templates</li> <li>Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL</li> <li>Frontend familiarity with HTML and CSS</li> <li>Any experience with lower level languages is a bonus but not required</li> <li>Comfortable working independently in a remote US based environment</li> </ul>
