Overview
We are a growing personal injury law firm (10 employees) based in Delaware seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform developer to design, build, and maintain a custom case management system. We are migrating away from our current legal-specific SaaS platform and replacing it with a purpose-built solution on our existing Microsoft 365 infrastructure, integrated with GoHighLevel (our marketing and intake CRM).
This is a two-phase engagement: (1) an initial build project with a defined scope and deliverables, and (2) an ongoing support and development retainer for the right candidate.
We are not looking for a generalist. We are looking for someone who has done this before, can ask the right questions, and can translate business requirements into a working system without hand-holding.
What We're Building
A fully functional case management system using:
Microsoft Power Apps – Custom case management interface for staff (case dashboard, intake views, task management)
Microsoft SharePoint – Document management system (organized by case/client, metadata-tagged, version-controlled)
Microsoft Lists – Structured case data tracking (SOL dates, medical records, liens, demands, settlement)
Microsoft Power Automate – Workflow automation (stage-based triggers, deadline reminders, document routing, notifications)
GoHighLevel – Intake pipeline and client communications (must integrate with M365 stack via API/webhook)
Zapier – Supplemental automation layer already in use
PandaDoc or DocuSign – Document generation and e-signature (integration required)
The system must handle the full case lifecycle for a personal injury firm: intake → investigation → treatment monitoring → demand → negotiation → resolution → disbursement.
Phase 1: Initial Build (Project-Based)
Deliverables include:
SharePoint site architecture design and build (case file structure, permissions, metadata schema)
Microsoft Lists schema for case data, SOL tracking, lien tracking, medical records status, and settlement data
Power Apps case management interface (unified dashboard for case managers and attorneys)
Power Automate workflows (stage transitions, deadline alerts, document triggers, intake handoff from GHL)
GHL → M365 integration (webhook/API connection so new intake cases flow into the Power Apps system)
PandaDoc/DocuSign integration for document generation from case field data
Staff-facing documentation and basic training materials
Phase 2: Ongoing Retainer
Following a successful build, we want to retain this person on a monthly basis for:
System maintenance and troubleshooting
Workflow additions and modifications as the firm grows
Staff support for technical issues
Iterative feature development
Integration of new tools as needed
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience building production systems in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate — please include portfolio examples or case studies
Strong SharePoint architecture experience (not just basic SharePoint usage)
Experience integrating external CRMs or tools via API, webhooks, or Zapier
Ability to translate business process requirements into technical design
Strong written English communication — you will be working directly with the firm's managing partner
Available for ongoing engagement after the initial build
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with GoHighLevel
Experience in legal, healthcare, or professional services industries
Familiarity with PandaDoc or DocuSign integrations
Experience with HIPAA-conscious data handling practices
What We Are NOT Looking For
Developers who have never built in Power Platform and plan to learn on our project
Generalist automation freelancers without a real M365 portfolio
Candidates who cannot articulate how they would approach the GHL-to-SharePoint integration before being hired
