Overview: We are building a modern SaaS platform that helps small and mid-sized businesses (20–200 employees) manage finance workflows without needing a full ERP system. The product focuses on: Invoice and payment matching Bill processing (AP) Invoice tracking (AR) Exception handling (duplicates, unmatched items) A centralized “Work Queue” for finance teams This is a workflow-heavy product, not a marketing website or simple mobile app. We are looking for a UX-first SaaS designer who can think through flows, not just make screens look pretty. What You’ll Be Designing: Dashboard (summary + usage + alerts) Work Queue (core product experience) Payment matching flow (multi-match, partial, unmatched)\ Bills (AP) processing screens Invoices (AR) tracking screens Alerts and exception handling flows Onboarding experience (very important) We already have: Defined product flows Clickable prototype (HTML) Clear use cases and user roles You will help translate this into: Clean, intuitive, production-ready UX (Figma) Target Users: Bookkeepers Accountants Finance Managers Important: These users are not technical, so UX must feel: Extremely simple Low cognitive load “Obvious” to use Think: A bored accountant should enjoy using this” What We’re Looking For (Must-Have): Experience designing SaaS dashboards or internal tools Strong understanding of tables, filters, workflows, and states Ability to simplify complex flows Experience with Figma (components, design systems) Ability to think through edge cases and user states Nice to Have: Experience in fintech / accounting / ERP-like tools Experience with tools like Stripe, Ramp, Brex, QuickBooks-style UX Experience designing multi-user or role-based systems NOT a Fit If: Your portfolio is mostly landing pages or marketing sites You focus only on visual design without UX thinking You haven’t worked on data-heavy or workflow-heavy products
