• We area Two-person blockchain infrastructure startup, 22M+ state transactions indexed • Ingesting ~600K new rows/day and growing — table never stops • 1-2 searcher-facing API endpoints currently taking 7 seconds on parameterized historical queries • Need: architect a hot/cold data split or implement TimescaleDB so queries against recent data stay fast regardless of total dataset size • Need: optimize joins, indexes, and sampling logic on the hot path • Need: precompute or materialize common query patterns where possible, serve from cache (Redis or equivalent) • Need: structure the PSQL layer so we can serve paid API data feeds to customers (auth, rate limiting, metered access) • Target: sub-second response on searcher endpoints • Stack: Rust, FastAPI, Python, PostgreSQL, Next.js on Vercel + Cloudflare • Rust required — core indexer is written in Rust • You'll work directly with our CTO (ex-Citadel) • Async with NYC timezone • Send work examples and hourly rate
