Step: 1 as a first step we can do the following: I currently have a dedicated server from Hetzner that we can start with. The initial tasks would be: - First, we should change all passwords and then store them again in KeePassXC (KP). The idea is to restrict access from previous administrators. - We should also check whether any malicious scripts or backdoors have been installed that could allow access via SSH or to any critical administrative panel such as Proxmox (PX). Step: 2 Server security and optimization: - Upgrade the kernel and pre-installed third-party software. - Anti-spam protection – prevention of incoming and outgoing spam. - Anti-malware protection, anti DoS/DDoS protection and spoofing protection. : Here we can use methods with iptables and UFW (or directly with iptables).
