SAP Basis Architect – Experience Requirements 8–12+ years of SAP Basis administration experience in large enterprise environments (multi-system landscapes with ECC, BW, S/4HANA). Hands-on experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA, including system installations, upgrades, and migrations (e.g., SUM, DMO, NZDM). Proven experience leading end-to-end SAP landscape transformations, including OS/DB migrations (Oracle/SQL Server → HANA). Strong expertise in SAP system architecture design, including high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and scalability planning. Experience with SAP upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management using tools like SUM, SPAM, and Solution Manager. Deep knowledge of transport management (TMS), client strategy, and system refreshes. Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting across SAP application, database (HANA), and OS layers. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for SAP deployments and migrations. Familiarity with automation and DevOps practices, including scripting (PowerShell, Python), Terraform, or Ansible. Strong experience in SAP security, including user/role administration, SSO, SNC, and audit compliance. Experience integrating SAP with third-party systems and middleware (SAP Gateway, PI/PO, APIs). Knowledge of SAP archiving strategies, data volume management, and system sizing. Experience working with SAP Solution Manager / Focused Run for monitoring and alerting. Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and drive projects across cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills with experience interfacing with business and technical stakeholders.
