Reddit Specialist — TGTHR (Premium Men's T-Shirts)
We're looking for an experienced Reddit specialist to help grow and manage Reddit presence for TGTHR (tgthr.shop), a premium heavyweight t-shirt brand engineered for real men with real bodies.
This is not about spamming links or low-effort promotion. We're looking for someone who understands Reddit culture deeply and knows how to build real karma, trust, and engagement over time — particularly in communities where men talk about fit, clothing frustrations, and finding basics that actually work for larger builds.
What you'll do
Manage and grow Reddit accounts organically (karma, age, posting history)
Identify and engage in relevant subreddits including but not limited to:
r/malefashionadvice — the biggest menswear community, constant "best tee" and sizing threads
r/BigAndTall — our core customer lives here; fit frustrations are daily conversation
r/tall — overlapping audience, frequent complaints about shirt length and shoulder fit
r/BuyItForLife — heavyweight/quality basics discussions, perfect for fabric education
r/frugalmalefashion — deal-hunting crowd but receptive to cost-per-wear arguments and bundle value
r/streetwear — heavyweight tee culture, blank tee appreciation
r/mensfashion — general style advice, before/after fit content performs well
r/ecommerce, r/entrepreneur, r/startups — founder story angle, DTC brand building
r/SaaS, r/marketing, r/SEO — secondary for cross-pollination if managing multiple brand efforts
Engage authentically in discussions (comments first, posts later)
Create and publish value-driven posts (fit comparisons, fabric education, sizing insights, soft mentions)
Advise on when and how to mention TGTHR without triggering bans
Monitor subreddit rules and moderator behavior
Track what content performs and iterate
Flag high-intent conversations we should jump into — especially threads about heavyweight tees, t-shirt recommendations for bigger guys, sizing frustrations, "best blank tee" discussions, and the common complaints our product directly solves (baconing, canvas-tent fit, rolling the dice on sizing)
What we're looking for
Proven experience actively using Reddit (not theoretical)
Deep understanding of Reddit etiquette, karma systems, shadow bans, and moderation rules
Experience growing accounts from low karma to trusted contributor
Strong writing skills (clear, natural, non-salesy — the kind of voice that sounds like a real guy who found a shirt he likes, not a marketer)
Comfortable engaging as a real human (founder or enthusiast voice)
Bonus: experience in fashion, menswear, DTC brands, or communities focused on men's style for larger body types
What this is NOT
No link spamming
No automation tools
No mass posting
No black-hat tactics
We care about long-term account health and credibility. Reddit is where our core customer already lives — threads about shirts that bacon after one wash, tees that fit like a canvas tent, and guys rolling the dice every time they order online. We need someone who can become a trusted voice in those conversations.
Initial scope
5 to 10 meaningful comments per day across selected subreddits
1 to 2 high-quality posts per week once accounts are warmed up
Ongoing subreddit research and opportunity spotting
Tools
Reddit
Experience with tools like red-engage or similar monitoring platforms
Google Chat or async check-ins
Budget
Open to hourly or monthly retainer
Looking for someone long-term if it's a good fit
Potentially managing additional brand accounts and opportunity to build out an entire Reddit/community department.
