Project Overview I am seeking an experienced professional to organize a personal archive of approximately 60,000 digital photos and around 100 short videos (in segments) accumulated over the past 25 years. The goal is to create a clean, structured, and searchable digital library by removing duplicates (which will be numerous), improving image quality where needed, and organizing files by year, event, and location. I love to travel, so most of the photos are from my trips. Scope of Work - Review and ingest roughly 60,000 photos and videos from various sources (drives, devices, or folders) - Identify and delete duplicate or near-duplicate images and low-quality files (blurry, accidental shots, etc.) - Organize files into a clear folder structure by year, then by event or country/location - Handle miscellaneous files that I may be unsure how to categorize - Rename files with consistent naming conventions - Perform basic batch photo edits, including adjusting brightness, color balance, and exposure, to improve appearance—I am not seeking professional editing, just basic enhancements - Organize and, if needed, combine video clips from the same city or event into simple highlight videos (basic editing only) - Deliver a polished, well-organized archive ready for Google or iPhone storage and easy browsing - Provide the final organized archive on external drives and/or cloud storage - Consider creating printed albums to showcase my trips or highlight exceptional clips, and advise on the cost-effectiveness of this option Desired Skills and Experience - Extensive experience in organizing large photo libraries - Basic photo editing skills for batch color correction and exposure adjustments - Basic video editing skills - Experience building long-term digital photo archive systems is a plus - Attention to detail Additional Notes - Due to the large volume of media files, efficient workflows and automation tools are essential - Please include examples of similar archive organization projects you have completed - Budget is a key factor for this project Estimated Timeline: Flexible Location: Remote work is acceptable.
